CP. Hardcore CP. Only a moron would pay that CP.

Seriously, I want everyone who buys one at that price to be thoroughly evaluated, because I'm concerned for their well-being.

I don’t get why, it’s not like they’re hard to come by. Our dealer has only sold two so far - one Sport and one Overland. The Rubicon’ s have been sitting.

Wait two or three years until FCA gets all of the kinks out of the Gladiator, and there is no more dealer markups. It is like when the C7 came out and they had oiling issues plus the Z06s that kept on catching on fire.

Happens whenever a new sought after vehicle comes out. Remember when the PT Cruiser first came out, people w ere paying $30,000 for a $20,000 MSRP car. We know how that market went.

After a year or less, these mark-ups won’t exist anymore on the Gladiator, especially at the volume FCA wants to have.

And I thought Hendrick of Concord was crazy adding $3k.

Briefly talked to a salesman there today about them and he said “yeah, we have a couple Sport S models that sold at MSRP last week.”

So it seems the higher end ones are the ones with the bigger demand.

Somehow when looking up local G ladiator prices I found a manual hellcat with 5000 miles for less than $40k. I’m no longer interested in Gladiators

Why do you, the manufacturers and your laws allow price gouging like this? Granted it’s up to the individual to pay the price or not but it’s only in the dealerships interests to charge so much, it doesn’t benefit the customer or the manufacturer, especially the manufacturers if their cars are selling slower or not at all.

I looked at Carwow the other day here in the U.K. for a Skoda Superb Sportline, I got five replies from dealerships offering up to 18% off the recommended retail price even though there is between a six and nine month waiting list on the cars.

Meanwhile in the capital city of the state of New York...

https://www.armoryauto.com/new/Jeep/2020-Jeep-Gladiator-71080aac0a0e0a170a28c3ba49c894ec.htm

...one Overland trim in stock, listed at MSRP with $500 military rebate available. At least these guys get it right. Then again, they’re also well known for giving heavier cash back than other dealers around, so it makes sense that they’re not jacking up the prices for no reason.

They hitting that cp hard. You’d have to be a fool to walk on the lot and pay SRT prices for a Gladiator. If im dropping 80k on a Jeep its you damn well better believe its going to be a GC Trackhawk.

Seriously. I like these a lot, but:

1. Jeep recently screwed up a bunch of basic welds on the JL Wrangler

2. FCA is still near the bottom in reliability and warranty.

3 . The vehicle is fundamentally pretty low-tech

4 . How badly do people want these that a used JK/JL Wrangler (with hitch rack or trailer) isn’t an alternative?

To point 4 , Jeep doesn’t even seem to notice that they’re competing against themselves here. A bed is already $2k more, but should never be $20k more. For LESS offroad capability (but better towing/hauling).
